Where are they going to play?

The committee always has the latitude to shift teams within seeding bands to avoid first-round games between conference teams and keep teams closer to home, even under the PairWise system. So it’s a toss-up.

Moy and Wodon both had the Badgers playing in the Fargo, North Dakota, regional in their most recent analyses but facing different teams — Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth — in the first round.

Connelly and Wells originally put UW in the regional in Albany, New York, but shifted things.

Connelly has the Badgers as the No. 1 seed in Bridgeport, Connecticut, playing against home-state team Connecticut. Wells moved them to play two-time defending champion Minnesota Duluth in Loveland, Colorado.
