President Timothy Caboni announced Amanda Trabue as the new vice president for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement in an email to faculty and staff Friday.

Trabue, the current associate dean at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, will begin her position at WKU effective June 17.

Trabue also formerly served as Peabody’s director of development and Washington University’s regional director of development, as well as the former director of development for the Gordon Ford College of Business and coordinator and assistant director of alumni relations and annual giving at WKU.

“Amanda’s 17 years of development and alumni relations experience will be valuable in her new role at WKU,” Caboni wrote.

John Paul Blair, current interim vice president for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, will transition to a new role as special assistant to the president for philanthropy and leadership giving.

Caboni said Blair’s new role is to “ensure we continue to engage with our largest donors in a way that keeps them involved in the life of the institution,” and utilizes relationships Blair built over 20 years with WKU.
