“Holi is a celebration of spring and color and life,” said Ajay Srivastava, the faculty advisor for the Indian Student Association.

Around 50 students came out to South Lawn on Sunday to celebrate the Indian holiday. Activities included water balloons, musical chairs, dancing and throwing colored powder. The colored powder, known as “gulal,” is inspired by the colors of spring in India according to the Society for the Confluence of Festivals in India.
