GALLERY: Crossfit for a Cause

Parker Teeter lifts a barbell during the CrossFit for Cures competition at Preston Health and Activities Center on Feb. 3. Teeter has been doing crossfit for 3 years, and came to the competition from Nashville, TN with his team “Two and a Half Men.”

Athletes from Kentucky and the surrounding area came together to push themselves mentally and physically during the 8th annual Crossfitting 4 Cures event that took place in the Preston Center on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018. Competitors worked in teams to compete in four different events.

Crossfitting 4 Cures started in 2011 and is put on by CrossFit Old School to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. According to the Crossfitting 4 Cures website, CrossFit Old School and its’ member have donated $83,000 to the research hospital.
