Yamato, a drum group from the Asuka Village in Japan, performs “The Challengers,” or “Chousensha” in Van Meter Hall on Friday, February 2nd. The group uses traditional Wadaiko drums which have been around since 588BC. Van Meter was at capacity as the members of Yamato took the stage. Their playlist included songs such as Rekka, and Aozoraion.
