WKU has added another player to its 2018 recruiting class, as guard/forward Dalano Banton signed his national letter of intent on Tuesday.

Banton is a 4-star recruit, according to 247 Sports and Rivals. He’s averaging roughly 30 points per game for Redemption Christian Academy in Massachusetts this year.

“We are getting a very talented young man that has a great understanding for how to play,” WKU head coach Rick Stansbury said, per release. “He’s got great size and length for a perimeter player, but also has a great feel for how to score and how to facilitate. There’s no question he has a great future ahead of him, and we’re excited to have him as part of our program.”

Banton was originally a 2019 recruiting but is going to reclassify. He was previously in the top 100 players of the 2019 class, according to 247 Sports and Rivals.

Banton joins Trevelin Queen, Matthew Horton, Jeremiah Gambrell and Galen Smith as WKU’s fall signees.
