Sophomore Sofia Kamali has been awarded a Global Scholars Grant to study abroad for a semester in Madrid, Rome and London. “I wanted to study abroad to gain more understanding of the world,” Kamali said. Studying abroad will give Kamali, an International Affairs major, the opportunity to immerse herself in a new culture. “International affairs requires interacting with people from different countries. It’s necessary to have an understanding of other cultures,” Kamali said. She said she hopes the experience will make her more well-rounded.
