Levi Hanson and CJ Wicker met on the women’s rugby team at Western Kentucky University, and have been dating since January 22. Hanson has been able to find a community of transgender people on campus through the Queer Student Union and the Trans Non Binary group. Surprised by Trump’s military ban on transgender people entering the military, Hanson explained “it felt like we were moving forward…people have all these opinions about us now, and it’s scary.”
