Grant’s employees wash the produce they picked Tuesday, Aug. 29. While much of the produce is sold for profit to locals and local restaurants, the excess produce is donated to those in need. “The extra stuff we pick is donated to men’s recovery centers, Hotel Inc. and the Salvation Army, that way somebody gets some good out of it,” Grant said.
