The Bowling Green Police Department was on scene at the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house on Chestnut Street Monday evening following an apparent suicide.

Officer Ronnie Ward, BGPD spokesman, said a 58-year-old Bowling Green man and fraternity alumnus was temporarily staying at the fraternity house following family difficulties.

Ward said a family member called a fraternity member staying in the house to check on the man’s welfare. The man was found deceased in the house from an apparent suicide.

The man’s identity was not disclosed Monday night.
