The Department of Theatre and Dance and the Department of Music brought the drama of Italian opera to WKU for a three-day run of shows this weekend. The show featured one-act operas by Giacomo Puccini were originally written as a part of a triptych. The purpose of the show was to show contrasting themes. “It’s the tragedy and comedy of theatre and we get to live it in one night,” Wayne Pope, professor of music and director of the show, said.
