Freshman Kate Jayes, 19, from Louisville, listens to speakers as a part of “the Women’s March on Washington Call for Action celebration of Women’s Day” on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at the Fountain Square. The march started in front of Cherry Hall and ended at Fountain Square Park where participants gathered to hear speakers from organizations like Black Lives Matter and BG Fairness Coalition. Jayes says, listening to the speeches she “shed tears multiple times.”
