Southern Roots kicked off 2017 with its spring fling event at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park on Saturday. Southern Roots began in Louisville as a small car meet and progressed into large events for all groups of car enthusiasts to meet. Southern Roots have people attend the event from all over, having cars from classic hot rods to imports. Southern Roots has three events throughout the year during the spring in Bowling Green, summer in Louisville, and fall in Florence. This year marks off the fifth year for Southern Roots. Ryan Miller of Bowling Green is one of the members in charge of the event this year. “It’s about everything, we really want to involve everybody,” Miller said. “Bring together the old with new.”
