Former Cumberland Valley star Kelly Jekot made her first collegiate start Friday with Villanova in a 69-52 afternoon win over Seton Hall. Jekot, who scored more than 2,000 points with the Eagles during a career highlighted by three PIAA Class AAAA championships, got the start because of an injury to Jannah Tucker. The freshman responded with a career high 17 points to go along with six rebounds for the Wildcats (7-9, 3-3 Big East). Jekot is averaging 6.1 points and 19.3 minutes per game while appearing in all 16 contests. She’s also averaging 3.7 boards, third on the team.The Messiah wrestling team took a three team sweep at the Whitehill National Duals winning their meetings against Trine University, Williams College and SUNY Cortland. Victor DeFrance (184) had a pin in 1:18 and Nick Havener (285) had a pin in 1:58, while also sweeping all of his bouts for the tournament. Hunter Harris (133) had a pin in 1:41.
