Bowling Green resident decides to vote for Gary Johnson

Cherie McClain, 38, and Keith Taylor, 35, moved to Bowling Green from Kansas about eight months ago so McClain could be closer to her grandson.

McClain said the polls are different here than where she’s from; Los Angeles.

“When you go to the polls there, it’s a little more aggressive,” she said. “In LA, fights break out.”

McClain said a candidate for city commissioner came to her door one day to have a conversation.

“He discussed what he wanted to do and why he wanted to be elected,” McClain said. “They don’t do that in LA.”

She had hoped Bernie Sanders, her ideal candidate, would win the Democratic nomination.

McClain described Trump as a “bigot and a jackass,” but she also thinks Clinton doesn’t have what it takes to be a president.

“If either one wins it, I see things going really bad for us,” McClain said.

Instead she decided to vote for the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.
