Men gather around and dance to different music of different cultures at the end of Pakistan Day on Saturday. “Pakistan Day was an idea proposed in 1940 that there should be a Separate Nation’s Day for the Muslim community. They celebrate this day to celebrate their independence and show particularly at WKU to promote awareness to American and International students that Pakistan isn’t what they hear and see on the news and that it is a totally different country with its own culture, traditions, languages and food,” Toqeer Omer, president of Pakistani Student Association, said.
