Leon Allen granted fifth year of eligibility

Senior running back Leon Allen was granted a fifth year of eligibility via a medical hardship waiver by the NCAA on Tuesday. Allen suffered a knee injury in the second game of the 2015 season that knocked him out for the remainder of the year. 

In 2014, Allen led Conference USA with 2,018 rushing yards, and scored 13 rushing touchdowns. He was named to the 2014 C-USA Second Team and was a 2015 Preseason All-Conference USA Team member.
