Simone Goods no longer with women’s basketball program

On Monday afternoon, the WKU women’s basketball team announced that freshman forward Simone Goods is no longer with the program.

“Simone and I met and she has decided to focus on her academics for the remainder of this semester,” Head Coach Michelle Clark Heard said in a statement. “Following the conclusion of the academic year, she will look to explore other opportunities.”

The Omaha, Nebraska native was averaging 2.6 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game in 10 minutes of playing time per outing. She did not start for WKU any this season, but she did appear in 19 of the Lady Tops’ 25 games.
