WKU senior quarterback Brandon Doughty is participating as a counselor in the Manning Passing Academy.  The camp—operated by Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Cooper Manning and Archie Manning—kicked off July 9, and runs through July 12.

Doughty was named one of 38 collegiate quarterbacks to help instruct high school campers.

“I’m humbled by the opportunity to attend the Manning Passing Academy and absorb football from the best quarterbacks in the game. It’s a tremendous honor to be invited to participate alongside some of the best quarterbacks in the country,” Doughty said via WKU press release.

The senior was selected for the camp coming off a season where he led the nation with 4,830 passing yards, 49 touchdowns and 24.2 points responsible for per game.  He was named the Conference USA MVP last season.

“I’m excited to go down and learn from Peyton, Eli and all the other quarterbacks. It should be a great, beneficial experience for me leading into the season,” Doughty said.

He was granted a sixth year of eligibility last December.
