Leon Allen arrested, charged with public intoxication

Leon Allen, running back for the WKU football team was arrested Sunday and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

The rising senior rushed for 1,542 yards in 2014 with 13 touchdowns. He also brought three receiving touchdowns. 

Warren County Jail booked Allen at 4:40 Sunday morning and released him at 11:10 Sunday morning. 

Allen was arrested his sophomore year on a second-degree charge of disorderly conduct.

A WKU spokesporson reported to the Bowling Green Daily News that WKU is aware of the situation, and will be dealing with it internally.
