WKU football player arrested

WKU football player Evan Sayner was arrested Friday night, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.

Sayner, 19, was also charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, displaying or possession of a canceled or fictitious license and being a person age 18-20 possessing/purchasing/attempting to purchase/having another purchase alcohol, according to the Daily News.

Sayner, a 6-foot-3, 265 pound redshirt defensive lineman from Paducah, was booked at Warren County Jail at 8:48 p.m. Friday and released at 4:59 a.m. Saturday, according to the jail’s website. No court dates have been set.

Sayner appeared in one game for WKU this past season.
