UPDATE: Reports of shots fired near Registry Apartments

Wednesday afternoon, Bowling Green Police Department responded to reported gunfire at Campus Edge Apartments on 320 Old Morgantown Rd. Ronnie Ward, public information officer for BGPD, said a young woman was shot at, but not shot.

Wednesday afternoon, Bowling Green Police responded to reported gunfire at Campus Edge Apartments on 320 Old Morgantown Rd.  

“No one has been shot,” BGPD public information officer Ronnie Ward said.

Ward said that a call came in at 12:24 p.m. reporting that shots were fired at the apartment complex a couple of blocks from the WKU campus. 

He said that a young woman was shot at but was not shot. He elaborated saying that at least two men in a SUV and three men on foot were involved in the incident. 

Ward said three men approached the area near the apartments and opened fire at the SUV.

“At least three people approached and one of them fired at the vehicle,” Ward said. 

Ward concluded saying that the SUV traveled east from the apartments and the men on foot traveled west.
