Individual shot in burglary, unknown if student

An individual was shot in a burglary that occurred Monday around 1:30 a.m., according to a Bowling Green police press release.

The gunshot victim was flown to an area trauma center in Nashville. His condition has not been disclosed. At least two other victims at the residence suffered minor injuries during the incident. It hasn’t been disclosed if the victim was a student at WKU.

Police have not been able to determine if anything was stolen.

The Bowling Green Police Department received a call of a burglary in progress at 1:30 a.m. on the 1300 block of High Street. Six victims in the residence told police four men entered the residence and demanded money.

According to the victims, the suspects left in a dark colored passenger car which was parked in an alley behind the residence. The victims say the suspects were four males wearing masks or bandanas over their faces.

The robbery is still under investigation.
