The WKU Lady Topper basketball program released its full 2014-15 schedule Tuesday morning.

The season highlights the team’s inaugural season in Conference USA, a non-conference series in the Preseason WNIT, a game at Louisville and a home game against Mississippi.

The defending Sun Belt Conference Tournament champions officially open the regular season Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT against Central Arkansas in Diddle Arena.

“The combination of our non-conference schedule and the level of play we expect to see in Conference USA makes this an exciting and demanding schedule for our team,” coach Michelle Clark-Heard said in a press release. “The Preseason WNIT is going to be a great measuring stick for us out of the gate against Central Arkansas here in E.A. Diddle Arena. We will be playing a large amount of games in a short period of time in the opening weeks of the season that will test us. We travel to Louisville just two days after the finish of the WNIT, then head to New York just a couple days later to face Tulane.

“We have some tough challenges on the road in our non-conference schedule and also get to play a Southeastern Conference foe at home in Ole Miss. This schedule is going to be a great test for us and we look forward to learning and growing as this season progresses.”

WKU will host home conference games against Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Southern Mississippi, Marshall, Alabama-Birmingham, Middle Tennessee, Charlotte and Old Dominion.
