Nashville Road and University Blvd intersection to be temporarily closed Sunday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s project to build a roundabout at the intersection of Nashville Road and University Blvd. is moving forward, according to an email from Parking and Transportation Services. Because of this, the intersection will temporarily be closed on Sunday due to utility work. The original email is below:

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s project to construct a roundabout at the Nashville Road intersection with University Blvd. is moving forward.  Parking and Transportation Services will send periodic updates throughout this project. 
 
The first disruptions are associated with utility work in the area.  All work is weather permitting.
 
BGMU Electric utility work will create a complete intersection closure on Sunday, April 6th from 6 AM to 6 PM. A detour will be in place so please allow extra travel time.
 
Work on Sunday, April 13th will create short closures to the intersection from 6 AM to 6 PM.  Flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic.  Please slow down and exercise caution in the area.
