Lady Toppers open Sun Belt Tournament against Louisiana-Lafayette

The No. 2 seed Lady Toppers will open up Sun Belt Conference Tournament play against No. 7 seed Louisiana-Lafayette in NewOrleans, La. on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. CT.

WKU (21-8, 13-5 Sun Belt Conference) will ride a seven-game win streak into conference tournament play, marking the fourth time the Lady Toppers have entered postseason play with a win streak of seven or more games.

ULL (14-15, 7-11 SBC) has lost two straight heading into postseason play, including an 80-71 loss to the Lady Toppers in Diddle Arena Mar. 5. The Ragin’ Cajuns are 0-6 all-time when facing WKU in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

WKU finished conference play ranked in the top three in overall offense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage and assist/turnover ratio, while ULL ranked seventh or worse in each said category.
