The Lady Topper basketball team picked up another early-season road win Saturday night, beating Northern Kentucky 74-64 at Highland Heights.

Junior forward Chasity Gooch was the top force for WKU (4-1), which has now won three games in a row. Gooch finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds.

Junior guard Alexis Govan, meanwhile, added an additional 16 points.

The Lady Toppers got off to a slow start before picking up the pace. They went into halftime up 41-31. WKU pulled away in the second half.

Things don’t get easier for WKU. The Lady Toppers will be back in action at home on Wednesday against Louisville, a team which went to the NCAA Tournament Championship game last season.
