Sr. OL Ed Hazelett – Coach Petrino said Monday the senior offensive lineman could have a chance to return Saturday against Texas State. Redshirt freshman Derrell Williams started in place of Hazelett  at Army. Hazelett left the Georgia State game with an ankle injury.

“He came out and practiced (Sunday) night and did a pretty good job,” coach Petrino said during the Sun Belt teleconference on Monday.

Sr. LB Chuck Franks – Franks left the Army game with a sprained ankle. Coach Petrino said he wasn’t sure whether the senior would be ready to play or not at Texas State.

“He’s working at it,” Petrino said. ” He got some work in (Wednesday), he got some work in out there (Thursday), I think we’ll see how much it improves from here until kickoff.”

Texas State Bobcats

Fr. QB Tyler Jones – Jones suffered what was believed to be a sprained wrist in the Bobcats 31-28 loss to Arkansas State Saturday, but now the injury is being called a broken throwing hand.

The San Marcos Daily Record reported that the true freshman will dress and could play tonight depending on how warm-ups go.

If Jones doesn’t start, senior Tyler Arndt will more than likely earn the nod at quarterback against WKU.
