A WKU resident assistant was arrested earlier today by the Bowling Green Police Department, according to information from the BGPD.

The Herald earlier reported that the RA was taken into custody in relation to the shooting investigation, based on information from police. The Herald pulled the story from its web site to verify the information.

BGPD said after the original reporting that the RA “may or may not” play a role in the Thomas investigation and that the charges against the RA were not related to the shooting death of WKU freshman Larry Thomas.

The name of the RA and the charges were not available Thursday night.
