Campus construction and maintenance projects continue

Construction continues across WKU’s campus as the fall semester nears.

Russellville Road between University Boulevard and Morgantown Road will shut down to one lane beginning Monday from 8 a.m. until 2:30 in the afternoon through Friday, Aug 9. 

According to an email from Parking and Transportation Services, crews will work to improve the landscaping, update the sign, and paint the retaining wall for the railroad bridge.

Parking lots across campus are also still undergoing maintenance.

Aug. 5-6, the following lots will be temporarily closed for upgrade projects: Old Fort Lot, Virginia Garrett Lot, Academic Complex, Bemis, Mimosa Lot, Minton Circle, Heat Plant and Hilltop. 

The planned power outage on the north end of campus will begin Friday.

Garrett Conference Center and Potter Hall will have the power shut off from 5 p.m. Friday through the end of the business day Monday, Aug. 5. 

Cherry Hall will be without power for the entirety of the week from Aug 5-11.
