The Lady Toppers will open next season with a non-conference schedule that includes some traditional heavy hitters.

The season will open with two exhibition games at Diddle Arena – one against Glenville State on Oct. 29, and another against Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 3. The regular season will open on Nov. 9 at home against Austin Peay.

The highlight of the 11 non-conference games WKU will play is a home game against Louisville on Nov. 27. The Lady Cardinals advanced to the NCAA National Championship Game last season and Lady Topper coach Michelle Clark-Heard served as an assistant before being hired by WKU last March.

Other notable games on the schedule include games against Vanderbilt and Georgetown as well as local rivals Murray State and Belmont.

Last year the Lady Toppers advanced to the second round of the WNIT in their first year under coach Heard.
