2013-2014 Cultural Enhancement Series Announced

The 2013-2014 WKU Cultural Enhancement series has been announced, and it’s bringing some famous faces to WKU.

First up on Sept. 17 is latin band Ozomatli, whose music has been described as a mixture of dance, rock, hip-hop and more.

On Nov. 5 WKU will welcome prominent broadcast journalist and producer Soledad O’Brian, who recently anchored CNN’s morning news program Starting Point before launching her own media organization, Starfish Media Group.

Another musical number will perform on February 4 when WKU hosts the chinese, appalachian folk trio Abigail Washburn and the Wu-Force.

Well known author, intellectual, and social commentator Dr. Cornel West will be be lecturing on Feb. 21.

Last but not least, WKU will welcome theoretical physicist and Discovery, History, and Science channel regular Dr. Michio Kaku on March 17.

All events will be held at 7:30 in Van Meter Hall, and are free and open to the public.
