The Lady Toppers can start planning for the upcoming season now that the 2013-14 schedule has been released.

WKU will open the regular season Nov. 9 at Diddle Arena against Austin Peay and will play 10 more non-conference games before starting Sun Belt Conference play on Jan. 1.

The Lady Toppers will face some tough competition over the course of the year, including a Nov. 27 home game against Louisville, where WKU coach Michelle Clark-Heard used to serve as an assistant. The Lady Cardinals advanced to the NCAA National Championship game last season.

The Lady Toppers also face local rival Murray State and traditionally strong teams such as Vanderbilt and Georgetown in their non-conference schedule.

WKU’s 18-game conference slate begins on the first day of 2014 and ends with a March 8 game at Georgia State.

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament, held in New Orleans, will take place from March 12-15.
