Parking lot maintenance continues at WKU

As summer construction continues and improvements continue surrounding the WKU campus, so do the closures and detours.

The Gated Hilltop Lot and Cherry Lot will be closed during the week of June 17 for maintenance.

Monday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the southbound lane of Normal Street will be closed due to the ongoing project to Cravens Library.

A flagman will be present to control traffic as a crane will be staged to deliver materials for the work at the library.

Trenching at Garrett Conference Center for the high voltage project will close Faculty House Drive to through traffic from Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June 20.  The building entrance from the Potter Hall side will remain open to pedestrians.

Parking in the Old Fort Lot will remain open with red meter bags placed over some parking meters allowed for permitted parking. Parking officials ask that drivers use caution as the entrance to the Old Fort Lot will be used for two-way traffic during the road closure.

Officials ask that drivers use the Kentucky Street Lot as alternate parking and say Gated Hilltop permits will be honored in premium zones while the lot is closed.

Maintenance at the North Diddle Lot at the University Boulevard  entrance will begin the week of June 24.
