For the second time in three years, WKU and Kentucky will meet at L.P. Field in Nashville to open the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT on Aug. 31.

The game between the in-state rivals will be the first official contest for new coaches at both programs. WKU will look to kick off a highly anticipated season with new coach Bobby Petrino while UK is rebuilding their program with new coach Mark Stoops at the helm.

The Toppers will open the home schedule with Morgan State at Smith Stadium on Sept.  21 at 6 p.m. The Midshipmen from Navy will march into Bowling Green the following week for another 6 p.m. kickoff.

The Troy Trojans come to town for Homecoming Oct. 26 for a 3 p.m. start time. WKU will conclude the regular season home schedule with its final game in the Sun Belt Conference with Arkansas State on Nov. 30 at 3 p.m.

The Toppers’ nationally televised game on ESPNU at Louisiana-Monroe will kickoff at 7:30 p.m Thursday, Oct. 3. The following week will be the first time either ESPN or ESPN2 comes to Smith Stadium as WKU hosts Louisiana-Lafayette Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.

WKU’s earliest kickoff at this point will occur in the final non-conference game of the year to be played at West Point, N.Y. against Army at 11 a.m.
