Fans cheered as the team left the hotel and boarded a bus to travel to the Sprint Center for their matchup against Kansas. However, fan buses that left Bowling Green at 8 a.m. were stuck in traffic outside Kansas CIty at the start of the 7 p.m. pep rally. Those buses also held pep band instruments and cheerleading equipment, although the band members and cheerleaders flew to Kansas City on Thursday.
