The Millers both graduated from WKU in 1967, and the Halls graduated in 1968. All four alumni now live in Louisville. Fans cheered as the team left the hotel and boarded a bus to travel to the Sprint Center for their matchup against Kansas. However, fan buses that left Bowling Green at 8 a.m. were stuck in traffic outside Kansas CIty at the start of the 7 p.m. pep rally. Those buses also held pep band instruments and cheerleading equipment, although the band members and cheerleaders flew to Kansas City on Thursday.
