The second half was a different story as the Lady Toppers roared back for the win.

WKU shot 14-of-25 from the field at a 56 percent clip in the second half.

The team finished shooting 48.2 percent from the field overall and out-rebounded FAU (11-13, 8-8 SBC) 43-31.

Junior guard Chaney Means knocked down two free throws in the final seconds to give WKU a 64-61 lead โ€“ the final score.

โ€œIโ€™m glad we were able to put a game like this away because we just went through a game in a tight situation and we didnโ€™t finish up,โ€ coach Michelle Clark-Heard said.

Heard was referring to a game on Feb. 9 in Bowling Green against Arkansas State in which the Lady Toppers were unable to win a close game.

Wednesdayโ€™s game in Boca Raton was the Lady Topperโ€™s first win at FAU since Valentineโ€™s Day three years ago.

The Lady Toppers will travel an hour south of Boca Raton to Miami to take on the No. 3 Sun Belt team this Saturday.
