Sophomore guard Alexis Govan earned her third Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors Monday.

It was her second time winning the honor in the past three weeks.

Govan averaged 20.5 points and 10 boards a game and led WKU (15-3, 8-1 SBC) to two wins at home against Louisiana-Lafayette and UALR last week.

In the win against ULL, Govan scored 25 points and grabbed a career high 14 rebounds.

Govan is ranked No. 23 in the nation in points per game with an average of 19.9.

The San Antonio native needs 47 points to become the first Lady Topper since the 2008-09 campaign to score 400 points in a season.

The Lady Toppers will travel to Mobile, Ala., to take on South Alabama Wednesday night.
