Lady Toppers back to business in win

The Lady Toppers started their next big set streak on Saturday in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-11) win over Florida Atlantic.

WKU combined for a .423 hitting percentage on the day and had four players record a hitting percentage of .400 or higher.

Freshman outside hitter Haley Bodway led the WKU offense with a team-high 10 kills and junior defensive specialist Ashley Potts led the defense with 14 digs.

Junior setter Melanie Stutsman had a strong all-around performance – she dished out 27 assists, recorded five blocks, and hit .800 as she recorded four kills.

The win wrapped up the Lady Toppers’ trip to Florida – they beat Florida International in Miami on Friday.

WKU (26-3, 12-0 SBC) will be back on the court Friday at Troy. The Lady Toppers have three more Sun Belt Conference games before the conference tournament begins on Nov. 15.
