WKU, Marshall set to meet in 2017, 2018

WKU has started to put together its non-conference schedule for the 2017 and 2018 football seasons.

The Toppers will play Conference-USA opponent Marshall at Smith Stadium in 2017, WKU athletics director Todd Stewart said Monday.

One year later WKU will go to Huntington, W. Va., to play the Thundering Herd on the road in Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

The Toppers and Marshall have met five times on the gridiron, with the most recent meeting coming on Sept. 28, 1996 in Huntington.

WKU is 1-4 all-time against the Thundering Herd.

2014: Bowling Green, at Navy, Army

2015: at Indiana, at Army
