Potts earns second straight Defensive Player of the Week award

As WKU Volleyball moves up to No. 23 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, Ashley Potts earned her second consecutive Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday.

Potts finished the conference weekend opener with 12 digs in each match against Troy and South Alabama.  

She accounted for 18 digs in the Lady Toppers’ sweep of Belmont last week.

She currently ranks fourth in the Sun Belt this season in digs averaging 4.61 average per set. 

Potts is on a 15-game multi-dig streak, while leading the team with 304 digs.

Potts and the Lady Toppers moved into the No. 23 spot with 188 votes, the highest ranking in WKU history.

WKU will hit the road to the bayou Friday to take on Louisiana-Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. CDT.
