Herald Staff

WKU Athletics will be giving free tickets to the WKU vs. Kentucky game in Lexington on Saturday to the first 100 WKU students who register online through WKU’s Housing and Residence Life (HRL).

HRL and Campus Activities Board are also sponsoring two student fan buses to Lexington for the game.

To receive a free ticket and a trip on one of the student fan buses, WKU students can sign up at WKUSports.com and through HRL.

The buses will load on Avenue of Champions in front of Smith Stadium at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and will depart for Lexington promptly at 1. The buses will return to campus immediately following the game.

No tickets will be distributed to the selected students before Saturday. To board the bus on Saturday, students will need to check in with HRL staff and show their valid WKU student ID by 12:30 p.m.

Students who have not checked in by 12:30 will forfeit their seat to students on the waiting list.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday. WKU Athletics has sold out its allotment of tickets for the game, but tickets are still available by calling the Kentucky Ticket Office at 1-800-928-2287 or by visiting UKAthletics.com.

In addition, WKU coach Willie Taggart will be visiting Topper Cafe on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with 20 free tickets to give to WKU students who can sing the fight song to Taggart.

Questions about the student fan buses to Lexington can be directed to Blair Silliman of HRL at [email protected].
