WKU has signed another joint admissions agreement, this time with Somerset Community College.
The agreement helps create a smoother process when transferring credits from SCC to WKU.
President Gary Ransdell said that the agreement provides the best of both schools.
“This program will provide the best of both institutions to students while allowing them to complete their associate’s degree at SCC and then continue their education at WKU,” Ransdell said in a press release. “SCC students who are jointly admitted will be on track to complete a four-year degree from the first day and can begin to take advantage of student services and activities that are available to all WKU students, including academic advising.”
This is the seventh joint admissions agreement WKU has signed, with SCC joining other colleges such as Owensboro Community and Technical College, Bowling Green Technical College, and Hopkinsville Community College.
