Sophomore infielder Amanda Thomas was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

She hit three total home runs in WKU’s three wins against Middle Tennessee State and Evansville last week.

Thomas hit a two-run home run on Thursday as the Lady Toppers won their last home game of the season, 3-0 over the Purple Aces.

She also went a combined 3-for-7 with five RBIs in a Saturday doubleheader against Middle Tennessee.

Thomas is now second in home runs on the team with 11, and leads the team in RBIs with 41.

This is Thomas’ second time receiving the honor this season. She was also named Player of the Week on March 12.
