Michelle Clark-Heard said earlier in the week she wouldn’t be opposed to reaching into the junior college ranks to find players.

WKU’s head coach has now landed her first JUCO target, as Kilgore (Texas) College guard Bianca McGee confirmed to the Herald she committed to WKU this weekend during her official visit to the school.

McGee, a Michigan City, Ind., native, averaged 12.9 points, 5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game for Kilgore in 2011-2012.

McGee’s commitment leaves Clark-Heard with three available scholarships to fill for the 2012-2013 season.

A WKU spokesman said the team is not expected to announce any signings until next week.
