Michael Bradley, a 6-foot-10 redshirt freshman transferring from Connecticut, was among the visitors on WKU’s campus this weekend.

According to a recent story posted on Nooga.com, Bradley is looking to transfer to a school near his grandmother living in Chattanooga, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

The center told the Herald he had no exact list yet of specific schools he’s looking at, but said he feels “very high” on WKU.

Per NCAA bylaws, Bradley can apply for a hardship waiver from the NCAA for his transfer, which, if granted, means he would be eligible to play immediately.

Bradley, a Rivals.com three-star recruit in high school, chose UConn as a high school senior over offers from Georgia, Drake, and Virginia Commonwealth.

Bradley didn’t play any minutes in his UConn career.

Andre Applewhite, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Central High School in Memphis, Tenn., also made an on-campus visit.

Applewhite said he’s also looking at South Florida, Mississippi State, Tulane, and Arkansas State, but didn’t have any visits scheduled yet.

Ray Harper currently has three scholarships at its disposal for his first recruiting class as WKU head coach, after the departure of senior Kahlil Mcdonald and transfers out of the program by rising sophomores Derrick Gordon and Vinny Zollo.

A source told the Herald that neither Bradley nor Applewhite had been offered scholarships as of Saturday.
