Summer Fife’s WKU career has come to an end.

The rising sophomore guard tweeted the following from her personal Twitter account (@summaaaaa12) on Monday night:

“I guess this is the best time to say that I am not coming back to WKU next year..better hearing it from me than someone else. #prayforme“

“Also want to thank all the wonderful people I came in contact with here at WKU…truly some of the best times of my life that I won’t forget”

“I really don’t think this is fair..but then again life isn’t fair. It’s a business..thought I was more than a jersey number”

Fife scored two total points while playing in four games in the 2011-2012 season.

The departure of the Fort Worth, Texas native means WKU now has two scholarships available for the 2012-2013 season.
