Sophomore infielder Amanda Thomas on Monday received the honor of being named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week.

Thomas was an offensive force during WKU’s six games last week in Boca Raton, Fla., hitting .500 over that stretch.

Thomas went a combined 4-for-6 with a double and a home run and five RBI in a doubleheader against Sun Belt opponent Florida Atlantic.

She hit three home runs total in the week while posting an on base percentage of .652. Thomas is also second in the Sun Belt in doubles and leads the team in RBI with 24.
