WKU celebrated its senior swimmers in style Saturday during their last home meet of the 2011-2012 season.

The Lady Toppers (9-1) and Toppers (7-1) swept the University of the Cumberlands Saturday on Senior Day, 167-69 and 173-79 respectively.

The day was highlighted by senior women’s swimmer Stephanie Martin, who set a WKU record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2 minutes, 16.65 seconds.

“To that at this particular time is very phenomenal,” Head Coach Bruce Marchionda said in an athletic department release. “She is that kind of person that really thrives on trying to work hard and the more work she does, the better off she is sometimes.”

Women’s swimmers Alex Van Oost, Caitlin Dean and Allie Duff all won multiple events, as did men’s swimmers Jim Ritter, Billy Kunkel, Heitor Rodrigues and Seth Musser.

Senior men’s swimmer Kevin Knezevich won the 100 butterfly in his final home meet.

For the Lady Toppers, seniors Georgia Smith (50 free) and Kristiana Feeser (200 butterfly) won on their Senior Days.
